Patience reaps big rewards! Like rewards?

The main thing to reaching and maintaining any goal is to keep moving forward. It is not to make super great gains!  
Sometimes folks start out way too fast and burn out and quit. What you want to do is to continue making some gains, sometimes fast and sometimes slower but always moving forward! I can’t tell you how many people I have seen make a “New Years Resolution” and go so hard but quit really fast! Imagine you wanted to loose 25 pounds. If you go crazy and only eat 500 calories a day(you were eating 2500/day) then you might lose 20 pounds in 3 weeks but you will be so weak and sick that you would go back to eating as much or more than before(I have seen this many times). Now, however, if you went from 2500 to 2000 calories a day then you would lose 1 pound a week and in less than 6 months you would have lost your 25 pounds but it wouldn’t have been so hard on you and you could actually continue eating 2000 calories a day after that if you would like because you would be used to it by then!
