How valuable is a promise to yourself?

How important is health and fitness to you?

If you desire to make a change in your health then it needs to be at the top of your list! If it’s not then you will join with millions of other folks that do the traditional “New Years Resolutions dance” !

I have always considered health and fitness to be my most important thing to consider! Why? I figured that what I was born with, mind/body was more important than old cars and such! When did I start?

I was 12 years old, living on my parents farm in Kentucky. During the summer I would work on the farm 10-12 hours and then after it was dark, I would go to my grandmas barn where there were no lights and proceed to workout in the dark by remembering where each piece of equipment was. I suppose it was my first true “mind body connection”.

Remember, I was a 12 year old kid with 4 brothers of whom none exercised! I was basically a “trailblazer” setting the way for my 2 younger brothers whom ended up getting into bodybuilding themselves.

Why I tell you this is that if a 12 year old kid can get that kind of dedication to do these things then I know you can as well! So when you make “promises” to yourself, act as though you were pledging to your mother! Mean it!
