A new study found that people are more likely to survive a cardiac arrest if a bystander uses a defibrillator while waiting for emergency medical services to arrive. The analysis suggests that 1,700 additional lives were saved each year in the U.S. from bystander use of defibrillators.Mar 6, 2018
