Pat yourself on the back often during this…

All or nothing thinking can do you in, Folks!

“focus on what you did do well and on what you did accomplish. When you engage in all or nothing thinking, you discount as unimportant or unworthy all that you did do well and all that you did accomplish. Think about that for a few moments: discounting the positive in this way is both unfair to you and self-destructive because it leaves you feeling like a failure. “ – Psychology Today

Folks, there is a lot of this going around! Myself included at times! I bring it up here because in the fitness business this seems to run rampant at times. The worst is when a person just starts to improve their mind and body and they have “expectations”! It’s great to have goals but they are just that, not guarantees! Why? Because anything you have never done before is something that you are not sure enough of to have an “expectation”! What to do? Start slow and throw yourself a little “party” (pat yourself on the back) for every positive thing that “you” accomplish!
