It doesn’t matter to me what kind training you do, why would it? I only care that people are free of pain and happy when they get out of bed in the morning. Having said that and having more than 45 years watching we humans, here’s what I’ll say. There is a real “disconnect” from folks achieving, holding and continuing their March towards better fitness when we speak of “New Year’s Resolutions!” (NYR)
The intent is a positive one. The idea is also something that, without direct observation, seems to make sense. However, when it(NYR) is applied it comes out the other end as a negative, zero or barely positive change. I see that folks doing an NYR (New Year Resolution) go into it with a big “bang!” They burn out extremely fast and left with feelings of “resentment” and “failure” and that’s not the worst of it because in 365 days they will do it all over “again and repeat year after year! What I is suggested is to drop it altogether and try another way or take a deep breath and don’t come out of the gate so fast and hard! Actually, I think you should start a week or Two “before” the New Year because you won’t feel so much like that horse shooting out of that gate with your “blinders” on, The Trainer (RN)*
